About us
Andrew T. Taffurelli, CPA, CFF, CGMA
After more than a decade in New York City's corporate accounting world, Andrew founded Freedom First Tax and Accounting Co. to bring Wall Street expertise to Main Street clients.
Andrew's career began at local tax firms, where he built a foundation in hands-on client service. He went on to join Ernst & Young's healthcare audit practice, developing deep expertise in financial reporting and internal controls. He then spent five years at Grant Thornton's forensic advisory services practice, navigating complex investigations, financial disputes, and regulatory matters for clients. Most recently, he worked at Floyd Advisory, a boutique forensic accounting firm, where he served as an economic damages expert—including providing deposition testimony and expert witness testimony at trial.
Today, Andrew channels his 15+ years of experience in tax, audit, forensic accounting, and M&A into serving small businesses, solopreneurs, and families. His approach blends technical precision with practical insight, helping clients minimize tax burdens, maximize growth, and plan strategically for the future.
When he's not working, you'll find Andrew in the mountains with his family, fishing, at the range, or exploring national parks.
